Mission
To support the teacher education, early childhood education, and children's
literature programs at Kansas State University by providing appropriate
materials to research, preview, and use within classroom settings.
An emphasis is placed on materials needed by those who aspire to work
with preschool, kindergarten, elementary, or secondary students.
Collections
The Center is primarily a self-service area and does not have a service
desk. However, the Education Librarian is happy to offer assistance
and/or instruction. If he/she is not around, please ask for assistance
at the General Reference Desk.
Who May Use the Center and Its Services?
Anyone may use the collections within the library. Any K-State student,
faculty or staff may check out the materials; community members
may check out the materials with a community users card. Interlibrary
loan requests from other libraries are accepted.
When is the Center Open?
The Center is open all hours that Hale Library is open.
Where in Hale Library is the Center?
The Center is located on the 3rd floor of Hale Library (Room 306-309),
in the historic Farrell Library.
How is the Center Organized?
How do I learn to use the Center?
Faculty, students, and community members may contact the Education
Librarian to schedule workshops that provide an orientation to the
Center or more specialized topics, as meets their needs.
